An Inside Look at GEO-82 Lounge in EPCOT from the Disney Parks Blog Team!
EPCOT recently opened its very first adult-only lounge called GEO-82! It’s themed to Spaceship Earth and is located in the same building as the attraction.

We’ve already visited the 21+ lounge, but now Disney wants to share another inside look from the Disney Parks Blog team! Let’s join Laura and Rain from the team as they visit the lounge.
GEO-82 in EPCOT
Ascending Into the Future
The entrance to the lounge is near the Spaceship Earth post-show exit. As you arrive, your bright surroundings are transformed via a softly curving hallway of warm metallics and subdued lighting, which sets the tone for an escape into the futuristic lounge!

You can see the glittering staircase that’s reminiscent of the spiraling ascent you take during a ride through Spaceship Earth. There is also a nearby elevator you can take to the lobby!
The lobby is filled with gold and bronze hues that are a warm interpretation of a futuristic aesthetic. Inside, you will find comfy leather seats and vintage-style prints of Spaceship Earth!

As you move to your table, you will pass a life-sized Spaceship Earth facade that imitates the 11,324 Alucobond tiles that make up the outside of the iconic EPCOT ball. And at your feet, you will find twinkling lights that look like the glimmering points that used to cover the ground in Future World.

Inside GEO-82
When you get inside of the lounge, you will see a sweeping view of the World Celebration Gardens and World Showcase in the distance! The lounge features mid-century modern-style furniture, soft music, and warm metallic tones.
You can even make reservations for special seatings to watch the nighttime fireworks “Luminous The Symphony of Us.” The show happens in sync with the color-changing lights throughout the World Celebration Gardens and on Spaceship Earth, and the inside of GEO-82 also syncs up with it!

The full musical score plays inside of the lounge and the lounge lighting dims to creative a truly immersive experience.
Elevated Cocktails and Zero-Proof Cocktails
This lounge is known for its specialty cocktails and zero-proof cocktails! There is a bunch of complexity behind each drink and every element was thoroughly thought out.

Some of these details include the in-house Lime Cordial syrup for the High Brow Batanga and the geodesic sphere-stamped ice cubes in the Brown Butter Old-Fashioned. You can even find the GEO-82 Cocktail Key inside the menus that will show you how each drink is prepared.

Disney Parks Blog has also highlighted the details of one of the featured cocktails — the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash! This drink shows off the true taste of the collaborative spirit at the lounge, according to Evan Rosenthal, the Food and Beverage Concept Manager, who said, “If there is a single drink that showcases the concept of this lounge, it is the peach shrub whisky smash.”
It has Toki Suntory Whisky, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, peach and mint shrub, and bubbles. This is a great, refreshing option to enjoy on a hot summer day!

Laura from the DPB team said, “Tastes like summertime in a glass! The peach and mint are a perfect combination.”
Evan spoke about how the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash was so essential to the harmony between the kitchen dishes and the cocktails served at the bar, saying, “We had all these beautiful peaches and mint that we macerated overnight — the sugar brings out all those juices which we made the shrub from.”

Then, the sherry a peach preserves moved over to Chef Robby Sayles, Chef de Cuisine – Concept Development at Walt Disney World. Robby was inspired by the drink to create a very special sweet surprise to accompany each Peach Shrub Whisky Smash order.
Taking Zero-Proof Cocktails to the Next Level
There are two zero-proof cocktails at GEO-82 and they are very different from each other!
The Manhattan in the Morning is a coffee kick balanced with smooth tart cherry and walnut bitters. Then, A Walk Through the Garden is a bright and refreshing glass of bubbly citrus with a decorative spray of fennel and lemon slice.

The DPB team chose to highlight A Walk Through the Garden! It’s Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, basil, fennel, lemon, Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters, The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, and sparkling bubbles.
Rain from the DPB team said, “This might just be my new go-to summer drink. Refreshing and not too sweet, it’s a spritzer with a lot of depth, offering a new exploration of flavors with each sip!”

Along with the cocktails offered at the restaurant, there are also wines unique to GEO-82 that highlight family-owned, smaller production wineries.
A Chef’s Selection of Delectable Bites
Let’s move on to the food! The charcuterie board at GEO-82 features a chef’s selection of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and accompaniments.
On the DPB team’s visit, they got Calabrese Salami, Jamon Iberico, Wagyu Bresaola, Tete De Moine, Truffle Tremor Goat Cheese, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Cranberry Loaf, Euro Bake Baguette, Pecan-Green Olive Brittle, Peach Chutney, B&B Pickles, and Honeycomb. YUM!

They also highlighted the pickles because they come from The Land pavilion! The recipe is inspired by Chef Robby’s grandmother and the team said that her recipe was magical and perfect.
“It was my first time trying some of the cheese and meat selections on the board, so this was a fun way to explore a sampling of flavors to pinpoint a few new favorites to pair with our drinks. Another careful collaboration between the kitchen and bar, the peach preserves from the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash showed up again on our plate as a delightful chutney,” said Rain.

Laura said, “The truffle goat cheese was incredible! I still have dreams about that cheese and all the items that accompanied it. Can’t wait to order the board again!”

Evan said the following about the collaboration between the beverage and chef teams at GEO-82, “The chef and culinary team know that they’re not just responsible for the food, and they don’t think of it that way … They make sure that the flavors are right each time. They’ve seen how the team at the bar uses the ingredients, and they are proud of it.”
