Full Guide to Visiting Hong Kong Disneyland Resort for the 20th Anniversary!
There have been a lot of fun anniversaries happening in the Disney Parks lately! Disneyland Resort is celebrating its 70th anniversary, D23 celebrated the Walt Disney Archives’ 55th anniversary in Disney Springs, and we recently saw the 25th Anniversary of Disney Pin Trading being celebrated in Disney World.
And, it’s almost time for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to celebrate its big 20th anniversary — it starts on June 28th! Disney has shared a helpful guide to visiting the resort during the celebration. Let’s take a look!
20th Anniversary Guide to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Arriving in Hong Kong
We’re starting things out at the airport! The main airport in Hong Kong is Hong Kong International Airport, which is located less than 10 miles from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

And, you’ll start to see some celebrations happening in the airport! There is themed decor, including an almost 10-foot-tall Mickey Mouse statue.
Getting from the Airport to Hong Kong Disneyland
There are a few ways that you can get from the airport to Hong Kong Disneyland.

The first is by using the Mass Transit Railway (MTR), which is the city’s train system. It has its own Disneyland Resort Line which takes you from the airport to the park in around 30 minutes with one transfer.
There’s even some 20th anniversary theming on the train! You also might hear surprises from Mickey and friends. And, If you’re staying at one of the resort hotels, there is a complimentary shuttle located next to Disneyland Resort Station.

The other way you can get to Hong Kong Disneyland from the airport is by taking the bus. You can take the ‘A’ or ‘E’ bus routes to Lantau Link Interchange. Then, transfer to Route R8, which runs directly to the resort regularly during the day.
Finally, you can take a Taxi! It only takes 15 minutes from the airport to the park and you can catch a taxi by following the terminal signs to the taxi stand.
Where to Stay at Hong Kong Disneyland
There are three hotel options at Hong Kong Disneyland.
First up is Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. This is a Victorian-themed hotel with the charm of Disney storytelling that’s about a 10-minute walk from the park’s main entrance!

You can also stay at the Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, which is the resort’s newly renovated hotel and home to the art of Disney movie making and Hollywood. There’s a Super Hero-themed bar that’s the perfect spot to wind down after a visit to the park!

Finally, you can stay at the Disney Explorers Lodge. This hotel’s rooms are themed to the unique tropical climates of Asia, Oceania, South America, and Africa, and it also serves international cuisines at its four dining options!

You can get 1-day and 2-day tickets for Hong Kong Disneyland on the website. Here’s a look at the options:

- 1-Day with Free 20th Anniversary SouvenEAR Mini Party Hat: From June 28th, 2025 to September 27th, 2025, this special ticket includes both one day admission to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and a complimentary 20th anniversary SouvenEAR Mini Party Hat.
- Non-stop 2-Day Fun Ticket: If you want more time at the park, the 2-day ticket is a perfect option! And, this ticket comes with a merchandise discount voucher that’s valid until December 31st, 2025.
