D23 Announces Exclusive Gold Member Showing of ‘Walt Disney – A Magical Life’
While the Disneyland 70 Celebration officially kicked off on May 16, we are still eagerly awaiting many of the celebration’s biggest attractions.
Chief among these is the highly anticipated debut of Walt Disney – A Magical Life, which will open at the Main Street Opera House on July 16, 2025.
In addition to housing the first-ever Walt Disney animatronic, the new attraction will provide a sweeping retrospective on Disneyland’s past, present, and future. After making their way through numerous exhibits featuring artifacts from the Walt Disney Archives, guests will come face-to-face with Walt in a recreation of his office.

A Special D23 Showing Will Take Place on July 18
Ahead of the new attraction’s debut, D23 is sharing a way for fans to experience it on a deeper level.
Beginning tomorrow, D23 Gold Members can purchase tickets to an exclusive morning viewing of Walt Disney – A Magical Life on July 18. In addition to seeing the show early in the morning, D23 members will be privy to an exclusive pre-show introduction by Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Producer Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz, who will share more about the attraction’s creation.

Additionally, D23 members will be granted reserved viewing for either World of Color Happiness! at Disney California Adventure, OR Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park.
Finally, they will also receive a D23 event-exclusive gift.
If that doesn’t sound like the perfect day at Disneyland, I don’t know what does!
Tickets Are on Sale Tomorrow
Tickets for the exclusive showing of Walt Disney – A Magical Life will go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM PT. Each ticket costs $75 plus a $3 processing fee.
To purchase, you must be a D23 Gold Member. Additionally, to attend the event, you must have valid admission to Disneyland Park. If viewing World of Color Happiness!, you must also have a valid Park Hopper ticket.
