Former Nike Executive Ron Faris Hired as VP of Marketing For Disney Consumer Products
Less than six months after Nike chairman Mark Parker left his role as Disney’s chairman of the board, the company has hired another former executive from the shoe brand.
The Walt Disney Company announced today that it had hired Ron Faris as senior vice president of global marketing for Disney Consumer Products.

According to a report from Variety, he will “oversee Disney Consumer Products’ global marketing strategies across its regional and global licensing teams, as well as the organization’s games, publishing and retail businesses.”
“The Ideal Candidate”
In his new position, Faris will report to Tasia Filippatos, president of Disney Consumer Products.
“Ron’s impressive track record combined with his passion in this space make him the ideal candidate to lead our marketing teams around the world as we explore new opportunities to connect with our audiences in memorable and unexpected ways,” Filippatos said in a statement.

Before moving to Disney, Faris spent nine years at Nike. Most recently, he was tasked with modernizing the brand marketing and reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers as VP and GM of Nike Virtual Studios and the “Swoosh” brand.
