7 Things I Want Disney to Do for The Muppets Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Makeover
We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved Muppets over on Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios. The whole land is now closed, which includes the unfortunate loss of the Muppet*Vision 3D attraction.
But, The Muppets are not gone from the park forever — Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be re-themed to The Muppets! Our friends are going to team up with some of music’s biggest stars for a music festival.

This will be the first Disney ride EVER to feature The Muppets and their energy should match the coaster well. The ride will open with the new theme sometime in 2026, so you still have time to enjoy the original.

Since we are going to see major changes to the ride, I have some requests I think Disney should consider! Some of them are small, others are…a bit more outlandish, but they should be considered all the same! Let’s get into it.
My Requests for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s Muppet Makeover
Muppets Covers of Rock Songs
Music is definitely a huge part of this ride and Disney has made it clear that they intend to keep it that way with the re-theme! They have mentioned that new music will be a part of their ride, which probably means an original song from The Muppets — specifically Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

But, I’d also love to hear some Muppets covers of popular rock songs! They already have some they’ve covered but it would be very cool to hear them cover an Aerosmith song as an homage to the original ride.

Can you imagine The Muppets singing something like Bohemian Rhapsody? Well, you don’t have to, because they already have, so it’d definitely be easy for Disney to use it on the ride!!
Keep the Guitar
This seems pretty obvious, and I’d be shocked if Disney actually removed it, but they HAVE to keep the giant guitar thats on the front of the ride! It fits the theming perfectly and it’s iconic, so I’m sure it will stay.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
But, I hope it stays just how it is without any changes to it besides removing the Aerosmith part of the sign. Don’t change the color or the vibes, Disney! It’s way too cool to get rid of. Plus, it’s a perfect photo op.
Parody Band Posters
If The Muppets can cover popular rock songs, then I also want to see them make parody band posters or album covers of popular rock bands! Right now, there are some legit band posters in the queue, but there are also ad posters for Disney Channel stars…so let’s go ahead and remove those.

Let’s see Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Rizzo recreate the Abbey Road album cover from The Beatles. Or Beaker and Dr. Honeydew recreate the Rumours album cover from Fleetwood Mac. The options are endless!
Improve the Queue
Let’s work on that queue area, folks! The queue is mainly outdoors right now and has little to no theming out there, and I feel like it could definitely be improved upon with the help of The Muppets.
The pre-show room for Muppet*Vision 3D was so fun and eccentric, it would be cool to see some of that same style brought over to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Some more decorations in the queue outside would be fun, and then those band posters I mentioned would be perfect for the inside parts of the queue.
Also, they should add more outdoor fans to the outside part of the queue because it’s so ridiculously hot in Florida almost all of the time and that line can be LONG.
I do think the Recording Studio should remain as a part of the attraction. It’s a really fun pre-show and it could easily be re-themed to work for The Muppets, just give some more vibrant flare to the instruments and pre-show video!
More Theming
Speaking of theming, I want to be smacked in the face by The Muppets on the actual ride, too! We need Muppets everywhere. Muppets neon signs, Muppets counting down the launch, Muppets popping out while we’re on the coaster, Muppets singing over the speakers, etc.
It will be interesting to see what Disney does with the storyline for the ride, since it will most likely be changed from what it is now (hopping in a super stretch limo to go to the Aerosmith concert). I guess they could do the same sort of thing, but it would be cool to see a fresh storyline!
It would also be awesome to be able to get different songs on this ride like you can on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! But, we’ll have to wait and see.
A Rainbow Connection
Rainbow Connection is probably the most famous song from The Muppets so I’d love to see it incorporated into this ride somehow! The song doesn’t really fit the rock ‘n’ roll theme, but it could be used for when you’re getting off of the ride vehicle at the end, maybe.
We could also get an actual rainbow during the ride! Like a giant neon rainbow arch that the coaster goes through. Or, even better — light up the track in rainbow lights to make a real rainbow connection throughout the entire ride.
Fix the Track
Okay, this one is definitely a long shot and probably won’t happen, but this is my list of requests so I’m putting it out there! It would be very cool if Disney could improve the track of this ride.

The launch is really the only fun part of the ride and the rest of it is my head hitting the sides of the restraints because while I wouldn’t call this ride rough, it’s not exactly smooth either. I don’t know logistically how that would happen, but just a smoother ride would be great!

My biggest request would be to have a second launch put into the ride so that it’s not only the one at the beginning. We need some more excitement happening during the middle of the ride!
I honestly don’t even care if the ride goes upside down anymore. I know, I know, that’s a major selling point for this ride but it feels very precarious when that happens so maybe at least remove to corkscrew and add the second launch right there. Thanks!

Okay, Disney, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for this re-theme and I hope some of my wishes come true or that something even better is in the works.
