A New Marvel Comic Series Will Finally Solve a ‘Star Wars’ Mystery
While Star Wars fans were understandably thrilled to see Han Solo return in The Force Awakens, the version of the character they met was not the gallant rogue of the original trilogy.
Instead, The Force Awakens finds Han a broken man, driven away from his family by Rylo Ken’s fall to the Dark Side and again turning to smuggling.
Perhaps the biggest indicator that Han had fallen from grace? He was not longer in possion of the Millenium Falcon.

While Han eventually recovers his beloved ship, how he lost the Falcon in the first place has never been revealed—until now.
‘Star Wars: Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon’
According to a new report from GamesRadar, Marvel Comics is set to publish a new five-issue miniseries titled Star Wars: Han Solo—Hunt for the Falcon. Set between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, the new miniseries will finally reveal how Han lost possession of his shop.

“In the time before ‘The Force Awakens’ where is the Millennium Falcon?! Less than satisfied with a settled life, Han Solo lands on the idea of reclaiming the Falcon and returning to a life of adventure,” the series’s synopsis reads.
“The problem is, he can’t find it. After enlisting a less than enthusiastic Chewbacca, the duo embarks upon a quest to reclaim the greatest ship in the galaxy. Standing in their way are a laundry list of rogues who have staked a claim to the Millennium Falcon as well. Like the villainous scoundrel who stole the Falcon, Ducain.”

What Fans Can Expect
The new miniseries, written by Rodney Barnes and illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, will answer one of Star Wars’s biggest lingering questions.
“Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon is a dream come true. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and Lando were my heroes when I was a kid,” Barnes said about the upcoming comic series. “To write an adventure that includes that quartet (and more!) is truly an honor. One huge check off my bucket list!”
