EARLY LOOK: Trying Tons of NEW Food at the Flavors of Florida Preview Event in Disney Springs!
It’s almost time for another food-focused event to start in Disney World, and it’s not a festival over in EPCOT…it’s Flavors of Florida in Disney Springs! The event kicks off on June 27th and runs through August 10th this year.
It’s filled with a ton of limited-time food items inspired by, you guessed it, the flavors of Florida.
Flavors of Florida Preview
Today, we were invited to preview a TON of food at the event — so come along with us to try everything out!

Everglazed
We started with this new Strawberry Jelly Donut from Everglazed! It’s yeast Bismarck confection tossed in sugar and stuffed with a mix of fresh, chopped strawberries, and jelly.
This was absolutely delicious! We love the donuts at Everglazed and this one is perfectly themed to Florida.
The strawberry inside tasted very fresh and it had just the right amount of sweetness. It’s the perfect sweet treat for a summertime breakfast!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
We moved over to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar where we got to try the new Gulf White Shrimp Fritters. These are Sunshine Stroll Orange Pilsner-battered Gulf white shrimp fritters with grilled sweet peppers and Datil pepper aïoli.
The aioli was the star of the show here! It was super tasty and flavorful.
The shrimp is well-battered and you get a hint of that Sunshine Stroll Orange Pilsner in there. We also liked the addition of the peppers!
Another new option at Jock Lindsey’s this year is the Passion Fruit Spritz, which is Aperol Liqueur, prosecco, and passion fruit purée garnished with a dehydrated orange.
This was very light and refreshing. If you like passion fruit, you will definitely enjoy this!
While at Jock Lindsey’s, we got a preview of a bunch of the other food coming to the festival at various locations (you can see the full foodie guide here).
Here’s a look at bunch of the drinks on display…
…and the food!
We can’t wait to try everything!
B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co.
We were also given a sample of the new Frita Cubana Dog from B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. This is an all-beef quarter-pound hot dog served with chorizo, Cuban-style ketchup, Swiss cheese, crispy potato sticks, and Cuban bread.
This dog was flavorful and we could tell the bread was fresh. It also had a nice toast to it!
The hot dog had a crispy exterior and the chorizo and Cuban-style ketchup added a great kick. Then, the cheese helped mellow it out!
The Ganachery
One of the fun items at The Ganachery this year is the Orange Ganache Pop. This is a vanilla-orange ganache enrobed in 65% dark chocolate.
If you like the combo of orange and chocolate together (especially dark chocolate), this one’s for you!
Splitsville Dining Room
Over at Splitsville Dining Room, we tried a couple of new items coming to the event! First up is the new Fish Camp Smoked Fish Dip, which is Mahi-mahi, wahoo, and white fish served with saltine crackers, tortilla chips, cucumbers, and jalapeños on the side.
You can really taste the smokiness in this dip! We loved the taste of the fish and it all tasted very fresh. This is a light and refreshing summer dish to try!
We also tried the new Take-Me-to-the-Beach Fish Tacos. These are Mahi-mahi, blackened or fried, topped with Asian slaw, house-made pickled red onion, fresh cilantro, and lime wedges.
The portion size here is great! The tacos are very flavorful and have a good variety of texture to them.
The slaw and red onions add a nice crunch and freshness!
Finally, we got the new Key West Coconut Breeze. This is Papa’s Pilar Blonde Rum, guava purée, cream of coconut, fresh lime, orange and pineapple juices accented with a toasted coconut rim and an orange wheel garnish.
This was an amazing drink! It transported us to an island and is perfect if you want a refreshing drink that will make you feel like you’re at the beach.
We also got a look at some of the food coming to one of Splitsville’s pairing events!
There looks to be a lot of great options. You can read more about the pairing event right here.
Jaleo
Moving over to Jaleo by José Andrés, we got to try the new Key West Shrimp Gazpacho. This is a traditional Spanish chilled tomato soup with pink Key West shrimp!
Don’t be fooled by the tomato here, this is a light dish that’s perfect for the summertime. It’s also pretty subtle!
The veggies on top add a great crunch and went well with all of the other flavors.
And, while we were at Jaleo, we got to see a paella cooking demonstration!
Terralina Crafted Italian
At Terralina Crafted Italian, there are a few new items on the menu for this year’s event!
First up, we got the new Terralina Sunburst, which is a creamy frozen cocktail made with JF Haden’s Mango liqueur, infused with Florida sugar cane & Haden mangoes native to Florida and mixed with flavors of orange and vanilla.
It will be served in a souvenir cup — which you can see right here!
The drink is sweet and refreshing, especially if you love the flavors of orange and vanilla together! It’s a great one to cool down with this summer.
Next, we tried the new Florida Shrimp and Grits. This is Fresh Florida Shrimp with Florida-sourced cheddar grits made in Jacksonville by Congaree & Penn, with a Cajun beer reduction featuring local Crooked Can Brewing Company Beer.
The grits are AMAZING. The cheddar gives them a great creaminess!
The shrimp are large and have nice texture to them. This is a comfort dish for sure and might weigh you down, but it’s worth it!
Finally, we tried the new Pizza alla Vodka topped with locally sourced burrata from Dicuru Mozzarella, locally farmed basil from Orlando, and vodka sauce.
The pizza was crispy on the outside and the vodka sauce was delicious! The local burrata is fresh and smooth and goes great as a topping. This is an indulgent one!
Maria and Enzo’s & Enzo’s Hideaway
We tried a couple of items that will be at both Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante and Enzo’s Hideaway. First was the new Bruschetta Calabrese, which is grilled ciabatta topped with ‘Nduja and Florida-sourced Fioretta stracciatella, petal honey, and micro arugula.
This has a kick to it! It’s a spicy sauce but the burrata adds a great creaminess to balance it out. The bread is grilled which compliments everything nicely!
We also tried the new Southeastern Sangria. This is Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Florida orange liqueur, apricot brandy, hibiscus, orange, and cinnamon.
This is not a very sweet sangria, but we loved the flavors of the orange and cinnamon with the wine!
House of Blues
Finally, we visited the House of Blues for a bunch of food!
We got the new Florida Gulf Shrimp Étouffée. This is a hearty Cajun dish with shrimp sourced from the Florida Gulf in a rich, thickened sauce served over rice.
It’s hearty and delicious! It’s seasoned very well and does have some spice, but it’s pretty mild. This is a great comfort dish!
We also tried the new Green Gator Mocktail, which is orange, lime, pineapple, Seagram’s Club Soda, simple syrup, and mint served in a gator souvenir cup.
You can really taste the lime in this! And, the cup is super cute to celebrate the Flavors of Florida event.
This drink also comes in an alcoholic version with Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum and Midori Melon Liqueur.
Next, we got the new Three Wishes Hazy IPA from D3 Brewing Co. Made with galaxy hops and crafted in the heart of Orlando, this brew has notes of passion fruit, white peach, and a deep citrus flavor.
We thought it was very light and refreshing! It does have some hops to it but you can definitely taste the citrus.
Another new beer over here is the Sixth Man Lager from Crooked Can Brewing Co. This light and crisp beer brewed with All-American barley, corn, and hops is the perfect way to celebrate the vibrant community of Orlando.
We thought this one was super light and crisp! It has a little bit of hops to it but it’s a great one to drink in the Florida heat.
There is also a new bourbon flight here! The St. Augustine Distillery Bourbon Flight is a flight of four 1-oz pours of St. Augustine favorites including Florida Straight Bourbon, Port Finished Bourbon, Toasted Finish Bourbon, and a fourth pour of your favorite.
We tried the Florida Straight Bourbon. The whole flight is made in Florida and the St. Augustine Distillery was the first company to make bourbon in Florida!
Finally, we tried the new Key Lime Pie Milkshake. This is vanilla ice cream and tangy fresh-squeezed Key lime juice topped with a miniature Key lime pie tart!
The shake is light and tangy from the lime juice, but it’s not overly sour — the vanilla ice cream balances it out. The graham cracker adds some nice texture.
This is a great treat themed to Florida that will help you cool off this summer!
