‘Lilo & Stitch’ Is Now One of the 100 Highest-Grossing Films of All Time
While Disney’s Lilo & Stitch faced new competition from How to Train Your Dragon in theaters this weekend, the film is still an unabashed blockbuster for Disney.
After adding another $15.5 million to its domestic haul, Lilo & Stitch now sits at a global cume of $825 million. Breaking that number down, the movie has made $366 million domestically and $459 million overseas.

Here is where the film now stands historically.
A New Milestone For ‘Lilo & Stitch’
As Lilo & Stitch continues its march to the $1 billion mark, the film has earned a noteworthy distinction and is now one of the 100 highest-grossing films of all time at the global box office.
To carve its name on the last, Lilo & Stitch surfed past 2002’s Spider-Man ($821 million) and 2017’s Wonder Woman ($822 million).

Next up, the film will pass Inception ($837 million).
Domestically, the film’s $366 million haul is good for 63 all-time. With plenty of runway ahead of it, the film should keep climbing.

Eventually, Lilo & Stitch will become the first billion-dollar film of 2025.
A Triumphant Comeback For Disney
After a series of underperforming films early this year, including the disastrous Snow White, Disney once again finds itself on solid footing at the box office.

With Fantastic Four, Zootopia 2, and Avatar: Fire and Ash on the horizon, the year looks like it will turn around and potentially be another record-breaking frame for Disney.
When the studio desperately needed a hit, Lilo & Stitch delivered.
