Downtown Disney’s Earl of Sandwich Sets Closing (And Opening) Date
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we have been closely following the convoluted saga of Downtown Disney’s Earl of Sandwich.
As a recap, the original Earl of Sandwich location at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney closed in 2022 as part of the park’s transformation of its west end.
The plan is for the fan-favorite quick-service restaurant to move into a new two-story location that would include a table-service restaurant and bar on the second floor.

The new venue’s first floor will feature new lighting and an open interior, but it will otherwise look familiar to restaurant fans.
The new location’s second floor will hold an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar called Carnaby Tavern. This table-service eatery will pay homage to the 1960s British Invasion, with concert posters and other tributes lining the walls.
Temporary Locations
Subsequently, however, the restaurant temporarily moved into the former La Brea Bakery location that had been earmarked for Porto’s Bakery. With Porto’s plans to move in delayed, the Earl of Sandwich found a temporary home.
Additionally, a pop-up Earl of Sandwich opened near the Star Wars Trading Post.
Got all that?
Earlier this month, we reported that the Earl of Sandwich, located in the former La Brea Bakery building, would be closing, as Porto’s was finally ready to move in.

Now, we are back with another update.
Earl of Sandwich Sets Closing (And Opening) Date
According to a new report from the Orange County Register, the temporary Earl of Sandwich at the former La Brea Bakery will close on July 26.
The good news, however, is that the restaurant won’t be homeless for long.
The new permanent Earl of Sandwich will open this winter!

In the meantime, guests will still be able to visit the pop-up trailer by Star Wars Trading Post.
