BREAKING: Disney Shares Opening DATE For Test Track 3.0 in EPCOT
We’ve got BIG news for Test Track fans!

In case you missed it, EPCOT’s Test Track closed back in June 2024 for a huge makeover, complete with an all-new storyline and sponsorship by General Motors. The third iteration of Test Track is expected to open in 2025, and almost a year after closing to the public, Disney just shared a BIG update!

Originally announced at 2023’s Destination D23, the new version of the classic EPCOT attraction will draw inspiration from the World of Motion pavilion and celebrate humanity’s “enduring drive” towards a better tomorrow.
“New show scenes will be added showcasing technological advances and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone. Enjoy a joy ride through scenes focusing on onboard technology, customization, and personalization,” Disney has teased.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction progress, including sign installations, ride vehicle testing, and more.
As more of the Test Track elements have continued to come together, the prevailing question has been when the attraction will open. Now, we finally have our answer!

Disney Previews a New Test Track Scene
When Test Track 3.0 opens, the attraction will feature a new score and new scenes that highlight the technology that makes our cars smarter and our lives more fun.

One of the new scenes will allow guests to see through the “eyes” of a vehicle, showcasing how cars use advanced cameras and sensors to “see” the world.
To represent the technology, Imagineers used 29,000 points of light!
In a short video, Imagineers Cole and Leigh previewed the new scene.
Preview Details Will Be Forthcoming
While we now have an opening date for Test Track 3.0, more details on the attraction’s debut will follow.
In the coming weeks, Disney is promising to share more information about special previews for Cast Members, Annual Passholders, DVC Members, Golden Oak residents and Club 33 Members!
