Disneyland Honors U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday with Special Ceremony and Flag Retreat
On June 14, 2025, the U.S. Army celebrated its 250th birthday, and Disney joined in the fun in a special way.
In a heartfelt tribute, Disneyland hosted a special celebration and Flag Retreat Ceremony. The moving event was a great way to honor this American institution.
A Special Ceremony
The Disneyland Flag Retreat Ceremony is held daily in Town Square on Main Street, USA. Each night, the American flag is lowered and folded to patriotic music as a tribute to those who have sacrificed and served in the US Armed Forces.

Prior to the ceremony yesterday, guests lined Main Street and gathered in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle as the 300th Army Band from Bell, California, played patriotic music in the park.
The moment served as a special salute to the Army’s proud history and continued service.
As part of the festivities, Disneyland also presented the United States Army with an American flag, which Lieutenant Colonel Alvarez accepted.
