Jared Bush Says the Work Being Done on ‘Frozen 3’ Is “Phenomenal”
As the 2025 Annecy Animation Festival has continued to roll on in France, once again, Disney has been the star of the show.
Over the last couple of days, we have seen Pixar announce Gatto, Disney bring Ron Clements out of retirement, and learned more about the upcoming Zootopia 2.

Now, however, I want to turn your attention to another highly anticipated sequel- Frozen 3.
Bush Calls ‘Frozen 3’ “Fantastic”
In an interview with Collider at the Annecy Animation Festival, Walt Disney Animation Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush lauded the work being done on Frozen 3.
“Some of that is under wraps. But what I’d share with you is that right now, the work being done on Frozen 3, specifically, is phenomenal,” he said.

“When people see it, I think returning to that world with those characters, the entertainment value of watching them go on a new journey, but that feels very organic to the story they’ve already been on, is fantastic.”
Quality Is Key
While Frozen 3 and a potential Frozen 4 were both teased at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, updates on the projects have been few and far between.
When asked what fans can expect from Frozen 3, Bush kept things vague.
“For me personally, I think that it’s critical to make sure that every movie we do is fantastic. We have the luxury of being able to look at movies many times, so looking at Frozen 3 as, ‘Can we tell the very best story we can with that and not worry about where we’re going to split into that next story,’ is sort of important. One thing at a time is, to me, the best way to approach it.”

As Frozen 3 is not set to hit theaters until 2027, it sounds like Disney is taking their time. Hopefully, however, we learn more soon.
