You Must Try These Disney World Rooms
Not all vacations are created equal.
At Walt Disney World, the magic extends to your hotel room as well.

You’ll find some of the most unique room types in the entire hospitality industry, providing you with unforgettable vacation memories.
Friends, you must try these Walt Disney World hotel rooms.
Bungalow at the Polynesian

Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s Island Tower
Let’s start with far and away the most expensive thing on this list.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has charmed guests since Walt Disney World opened in 1971.

Still, Disney doesn’t leave well enough alone here, frequently updating the space.
In recent years, Disney has demolished Luau Cove, opened the Island Tower, and introduced impeccably themed Bungalows.

As far as unique room types go, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything like this room unless you’re willing to hop on a plane and fly to Bali.
The legendary in-water Bungalows of the South Seas provide the inspiration for this room type.

Disney dug into the waters across from Magic Kingdom to create these magical two-bedroom suites.
They’re among the most luxurious accommodations at Disney, but that’s not why I recommend that you try the Bungalows.

The real magic is sitting in your hotel room’s adjoining pool and staring across the water at Cinderella Castle.
A Cabin at Fort Wilderness

You’ll find another memorable room type at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Disney has constructed a bunch of miniature cabins right here in the woods. But this isn’t a horror movie.
No, the cabins are a dream come true for Disney fans. You and your loved ones can hole up in a 504 square foot cabin and embrace the seclusion.
Despite the fact that you’re just a ten-minute boat ride away from Magic Kingdom, you’ll feel as if you’ve moved into the wilderness.

Even better, your room includes a full-sized kitchen, bunk beds for the kids, and a deluxe sitting area where you can all hang out.
When you want to kick back and relax at Disney, you can’t do any better than these cabins.
The Lion King Suite at Art of Animation
Of course, you may prefer the majestic theming that Disney hotels are known for.
If so, you can go all-in on Disney characters by staying in one of the themed suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
Disney offers several flavors of this concept, with other options including Cars and Finding Nemo.
However, I’m highlighting the most popular of all Disney Renaissance movies, The Lion King.

When you book this suite at Art of Animation, the very walls come to life, thrusting you into the heart of the jungle.
You’ll encounter several of the iconic characters from The Lion King, as Disney has plastered their faces on everything from the walls to the shower curtains.
Staying in one of these rooms is pretty much THE most Lion King you can do in life, short of becoming a literal king of the jungle.
Royal Guest Room at Port Orleans – Riverside

Do you love Disney Princesses? And before you answer, please understand that if you say no, we can’t be friends.
Okay, presuming you said yes – I’m watching you! – I’ve got the best possible news!

Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside
Disney designed a room just for people like you and me at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
The Royal Guest Room features regal décor and an entire wall comprised of Disney Princess photos.

Magical illustrations adorn the headboards over the beds, while you’ll gaze at royal house banners on the walls.
Don’t miss the magic carpet on the flood, either! This room type provides the most pageantry of anything at Disney.
Savannah View at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Ah, Savannah View. There’s simply nothing else like it at Disney…or the rest of North America, for that matter.
The idea here is simple. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, the hotel staff has borrowed an idea from its neighboring theme park.

Just like at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this resort hosts several animal habitats. But that’s not the best part!
When you book Savannah View, your room overlooks these animal habitats! You’ll never be more at one with nature than when you choose this room type.

You can start your day by sipping coffee and watching the animals beneath you as they start their days!
Savannah View provides all the joys of growing up on a farm without any of them *ahem* clean-up messes.
Theme Park View at the Contemporary

Disney’s Contemporary Resort
You can already tell that hotel room views are important to me.
I haven’t even mentioned a lake view option in this article, yet that’s the option I typically pick.
Specifically, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers a spectacular lake view of Bay Lake.
Few people realize this because everyone prioritizes a different view. Yes, I’m talking about Theme Park View, which is precisely what it sounds like.
When you stay at the Contemporary (or Bay Lake Tower), you can book a room whose windows face Magic Kingdom.
The view is so good here that you can watch the fireworks from your hotel room at night.

You can also stare at Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain throughout the day, admiring the world’s most popular theme park.
This perspective of Disney is addictive and one that many fans covet. You owe it to yourself to try this room type at least once.
Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs

One of the recurring themes with these hotel rooms is that they allow you to get in touch with nature.
Also, you can enjoy a rare bit of seclusion, which is borderline impossible inside a Disney theme park.

That’s why several of these room types stand out as ideal places to stay. You can mix the chaos of a park visit with a relaxing bit of isolation.
That’s particularly true when you book a Treehouse Villa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
These standalone buildings are in the middle of nowhere. Seriously, when you take a boat to Disney Springs, look out for them.
What you’ll notice is that the view from the boat consists of nothing but trees for a while.

Wooden Foot Bridge at Disney’s Saratoga Springs
Then, these uniquely shaped octagonal treehouses suddenly appear. You can’t help but notice them since they seem so out of place at Disney.
That’s their genius! You basically hole up in a two-bedroom tree fort and forget the outside world exists for a while.

Then, when you’re tired of all that solitude, you take the boat to Disney Springs or a bus to a Disney theme park, all of which are within 15 minutes.
