NEW Ham and Gruyère Sandwich is a Delicious Mess in Magic Kingdom
Disney World is the place to be if you’re looking for some delicious eats! You can get classics like Dole Whip, new additions like the pulled pork sliders, or try a little bit of everything at one of the food festivals.
And, Disney is regularly adding some new items to their menus for you to try! Come along with us today to check one out in Magic Kingdom.
Ham and Gruyère Sandwich
This is the new Ham and Gruyère Sandwich from Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland! Well, we have seen a similar sandwich listed on the menu before, but this version of the sandwich is different from the one we had previously.
It has also taken the place of the previous Ham and Gruyère Tart that was on the menu for a while.
Ham and Gruyère Tart
This new sandwich is sort of a hybrid of the two. It’s now crispy croissant dough filled with ham and Gruyère, served with a side of chips for $10.79.
I’m not sure if I’d call this a sandwich, really, since it’s more of a filled pastry, but we’ll give it a try nonetheless!
This is served warm, but was a bit soggy with the amount of cheese on top and inside of it. The sandwich was actually sliding around on the plate!
Dare we say this actually has too much cheese? We didn’t think it was possible, but it might just be the case.
We would have preferred that the cheese was just on the inside instead of melted on top as well.
The croissant itself was fresh and flaky. And, the flavor is amazing!
We would probably suggest eating this with a fork and knife instead of your hands though, because it’s pretty messy!
