Carly the Reeve’s Muntjac Celebrates a Birthday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

One of the most special parts about visiting Disney World is seeing all of the animals in places like Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and EPCOT. We’ve even been lucky enough to see a lot of new animals join the parks lately!

It’s even more special when one of these animals turns another year older, which is what just happened at Animal Kingdom!

Carly the Reeve’s Muntjac Celebrates a Birthday

Carly the Reeve’s muntjac just turned 18 at Animal Kingdom! Dr. Mark Penning posted on his Instagram about the special occasion.

Carly celebrated with a snack-filled “cake” from the Animal Nutrition team at Disney. You can see the little 18 on top!

Dr. Mark shared that these small deer are native to China and Taiwan and usually dine on plants or even bark when they need to. You can find Carly in the Oasis at the front of the park, near the park entrance!
