Walt Disney World Wait Times for First Week of June 2025
Although we’ve come to the end of the road, still I can’t let go.
Friends, Muppet*Vision 3D has closed forever. As MickeyBlog reported on Sunday, the planters have already blocked the path to Muppets Courtyard.
So, if you wanted a mediocre bite of pizza at PizzeRizzo, you’re out of luck there, too.
The sadness is almost enough to undo the joy of the opening of two new shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Almost.

On the bright side, we’ve got one more week of Muppet*Vision 3D to discuss.
Here are Walt Disney World’s average wait times for the first week of June 2025, aka the final days of Muppet*Vision 3D. *sniffle*
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Every Walt Disney World theme park is currently undergoing some sort of enhancement.
Even EPCOT, which has technically finished its seven-year makeover, still hasn’t opened the new Test Track yet.
So, the entirety of Walt Disney World remains in transition. Animal Kingdom, in particular, is going through changes.
We still have most of DinoLand USA open…but not for long! This entire themed land is on borrowed time, which feels fitting to mention this week.

DINOSAUR
After all, Muppets Courtyard just closed forever, being replaced by a themed land based on Monsters, Inc.
Meanwhile, Disney will repurpose DinoLand USA to the Tropical Americas next year. This is a wiiiiiild time at Disney World.

Anyway, here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times this past week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 70 minutes, up 4
- Na’vi River Journey – 56 minutes, down 3
- Expedition Everest – 41 minutes, down 1
- Kali River Rapids – 38 minutes, down 1
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 37 minutes, up 7
- DINOSAUR – 31 minutes, up 1
- Adventurers Outpost – 28 minutes, no change

Overall, guests at Animal Kingdom spent an average of 42 minutes in line per attraction. That’s one minute more than last time.
I should note that this is right in line with my expectations. We’ll track the other parks to be sure, but this has been the recent park behavior.

While June has been Disney’s most crowded summer month lately, the surge doesn’t happen until mid-June.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This park was the big story last week as two new shows opened.
We’ve got more than twice as much data now about The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.

Also, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After has proven to be a huge hit. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that we helplessly watched Jim Henson’s daughter, Heather Henson, say goodbye to everyone.
She was fittingly the final person to exit the theater at Muppet*Vision 3D. Since the show honors her father’s legacy, it must have been bittersweet.
Disney announced the same day that the Muppets will take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in 2026, so the changes haven’t ended yet.

Honestly, they’ve just started, with Monstropolis construction beginning almost immediately, too.
Fans finally showed a bit more passion toward Muppet*Vision 3D during its final days as well.

The show-based attraction ended its run with an average wait time of 19 minutes, the highest I tracked for it over the last seven years of data.
Here are the park’s other average wait times last week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 80 minutes, no change
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 75 minutes, up 18
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 60 minutes, up 3

Overall, Hollywood Studios guests stood in line for an average of 39 minutes, which is the same as the previous week.
I’ll note that wait times would have increased for the week if not for the expected drop at The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
As I mentioned, the show’s first week of wait times didn’t reflect its long-term behavior.
We’ll continue to witness normalization with this attraction until it hovers in the 15-minute range, same as Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
EPCOT

Festival season has officially ended at EPCOT. We won’t get the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival until August 28th.
Since we also don’t know when Test Track is opening (yet), it’s theoretically not the most exciting time at EPCOT.

Test Track
Wait…I’ve just been handed a note. Ohhhh. It’s Cool Kid Summer! Also, GoofyCore is a thing.
Yeah, this is a fun time to be at EPCOT. So, how were the park’s crowds last week? Here are the average wait times:

Final Thoughts
Overall, guests waited for an average of 27 minutes per attraction last week. That’s exactly the same wait time as the previous week.
Also, please be aware that Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat close in less than a month.

Crowds in Magic Kingdom
So, this park will change significantly in four weeks. We’ll discuss it more then.
