PHOTOS: New Registers Open at Magic Kingdom’s Emporium
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, you know that there have been a ton of refurbishments taking place at Magic Kingdom this year.
While the headline construction is taking place at Big Thunder Mountain, we have also seen refurbishments of Astro Orbiter, Haunted Mansion, and even the Cinderella Castle stage throughout the first half of 2025.
Then, there is the Magic Kingdom’s Emporium.
An Ongoing Refurbishment
Since January, Disney has slowly but surely been refurbishing the Magic Kingdom’s flagship shop, installing new flooring, changing the store’s layout, and generally sprucing it up.
The last time we checked in, a new set of registers had arrived!
Now, we are back with another update.
The New Emporium Registers Have Opened!
When visiting Magic Kingdom today, we were thrilled to see that the new register counter has officially opened.
If you are trying to orient yourself, these registers are immediately to your right if you enter the Emporium from the door nearest the Main Street Barber Shop.
Behind the registers, symbols of the Walt Disney World Railroad and the Main Street Omnibus have been added.
There is also a new Emporium logo!
As you can see, the new counter has plenty of dark wood.
This design choice continues throughout the refurbished area.
Here is another look!
The Refurbishment Rolls On
With the refurbished registers now open, Disney has moved the renovations to the check-out area in the center of the store.
As we have seen with the rest of the Emporium refurbishment, when one section is finished, Disney moves on to the next.
So, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World!
