With the Attraction Now Closed, Disney Adds an Old Muppet*Vision Article to the Disney World App
For the first time in over 35 years, Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened today without a Muppet attraction.
After a day full of celebration, mourning, and Muppet community, Muppet*Vision 3D officially closed last night, as Hollywood Studios prepares for the construction of Monstropolis.
While fans will no longer be able to visit Bean Bunny, Kermit, Fozzie, and the gang, Muppet*Vision 3D lives on in our collective memories…and in the My Disney Experience app.
A Strange New Addition to the Disney World App
Beginning today, when guests search “Muppet*Vision” in the Walt Disney World app, they are redirected to an article titled 15 Memorable Moments from Muppet*Vision 3D.

The article, which has clearly been recycled from the Muppet*Vision 30th anniversary festivities in 2021, features 15 unforgettable quotes from the beloved attraction.
It should be noted that Disney did not even update the language in the article.

Nevertheless, without further ado, here are the 15 moments.
Moment #1 – Patriotic Pre-Show Instructions
Sam the Eagle: “Upon entering the theater, please move as far to the end of the row as possible. Stopping in the middle is distinctly unpatriotic.”

Moment #2 – A Curmudgeonly Duo Arrives
Statler: “Hey, Waldorf, what is this anyway?”
Waldorf: “Oh, it’s one of those 3-D movies. Better put on your glasses.”

Waldorf: “That’s no mask.”
Statler: “Oops! Sorry, lady!”

Swedish Chef: “Hey, der hoppen-hoppen, der machinen is goin’ der floomy-floomy!”

Moment #4 – Miss Piggy Makes an Entrance
Kermit the Frog: “And our demonstration will also include a little song from Miss Piggy—”
Miss Piggy: (Irritably clearing throat) “Little?”
Kermit the Frog: “Little? Did I say little? I meant to say it’s a huge, show-stopping, major song from Miss Piggy…”
Miss Piggy: (Sweetly) “That’s more like it.”

Kermit the Frog: “So, it’s going to be a swell demonstration, and at no time will we be stooping to any cheap 3D tricks.”
Fozzie: “Did you say cheap 3D tricks?”
Kermit the Frog: “Uh…”
Fozzie: (Blows a noisemaker, which flies out toward the audience)
Moment #7 – The Curmudgeons Strike Again
Statler: “Oh, no! It’s that bear again.”
Waldorf: “Hey, bear, you’re not even funny in 3-D!”
Fozzie: “Oh, no, not you guys. How’d you get here?”
Statler: “We entered a contest.”
Waldorf: “Yeah. We lost!”
Moment #8 – A Visit to Muppet Labs
Kermit the Frog: “And now, if you’ll come this way, I can show you our secret laboratory. You see, we invited some of the most distinguished scientists to come and work here. Unfortunately, none of them showed up.”

Moment #14 – A Kermit-Filled Conclusion
Kermit the Frog: “Uh, well, ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to apologize for the slight technical difficulties, but I do wish to assure you that no one was hurt, and this theater only suffered minor damage. So, thank you very much for coming to see this demonstration of Muppet*Vision Technology, and enjoy the rest of your visit and come see us again sometime!”
Moment #15 – Final Words from the Opera Box
Statler: “Well, what do you think?”
Waldorf: “Do we have time to go to the bathroom before the next show?”
Statler: “We can’t. We’re bolted to the seats!”
Sadly, the article ends by inviting guests to visit Muppet*Vision or grab a slice of pizza at PizzeRizzo.
Alas.
