MickeyBlog Bids Farewell as Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo & Muppets Courtyard Close
It’s a bittersweet day in Disney World.
Muppets Courtyard
Today is the last day of operation for Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which includes quick service restaurant PizzeRizzo and the iconic Muppet*Vision 3D.
These closures will make way for the new Monsters, Inc. land (which is exciting!), but we’re sad to say goodbye. Farewell, Muppets Courtyard!
Muppets Couryard
Muppets Courtyard is located off of Grand Avenue in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, near one of the entrances to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
Although it has undergone lots of changes over the years, it’s currently home to a fountain featuring the iconic Miss Piggy dressed as the Statue of Liberty, the (closed) Stage 1 Company Store, the now-closed Mama Melrose’s, and, of course, Muppet*Vision 3D.

After today, the entire area will be closed to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. land, which will include dining, shopping, an attraction, and more.

The crowds started forming as soon as the park opened. Cast Members handed out wristbands for the final showing, and by 9:30AM, they were all gone.
Muppet*Vision 3D
People have been lining up all day for their chance to see this iconic show for the last time. MickeyBlog secured a wristband and was part of history.
As the sun went down, the excitement only went up. Guests enjoyed soaking up the last hours of Muppet*Vision 3D.
Incredibly, lines extended well into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
Plenty of Cast Members were on hand to keep things flowing smoothly outside the attraction.
At 9:30PM, there was a line to the side of the building for guests with a wristband. It’s going to be a full house!

The Last Show
We made our way to the last show and were filled with joy. Walking in knowing you’ll never see this attraction again was emotional for so many of us.

During the last show tonight, guests were treated to an extra version of the preshow. How awesome is that?
After the show, Cast Members waved goodbye as we left the theater. The vibes were high as everyone cheered, clapped, and cried ONE LAST TIME for the Muppets! See it below.
