Lindsay Lohan Will Reunite With Her ‘Parent Trap’ Costar in ‘Freakier Friday’
While Freakier Friday will feature the triumphant reunion of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis as Anna and Tess Coleman, the film also features another important cinematic face-to-face.
For the first time in 27 years, Freakier Friday will also see Lohan reunite with her Parent Trap costar Elaine Hendrix.

For those who may not remember, Lohan pulled double duty in 1998’s Parent Trap remake, portraying Hallie Parker and Annie James, separated twins who plot to get their parents back together. Hendrix played their father’s new fiancée, whose upcoming marriage the twins needed to undermine.
The Former Costars Had Not Been in Touch
Outside of a virtual Parent Trap reunion with Katie Couric during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hendrix had lost contact with Lohan.

Then, she got a text from her longtime friend and collaborator Nisha Ganatra, who is directing Freakier Friday.
“I was like, girl, you know I’ll show up for you to do anything,” Hendrix recalled to EW.
Seeing Lohan again as an adult sparked a new friendship between the two actresses, who have now agreed to stay in touch.
“I got to physically see her, and we spent a lot of time together on set, hanging out, reminiscing, and catching up. Now, we’re better about staying in touch with one another,” Hendrix said.

“She lives on the other side of the world and has a family and is busy. We both have full lives, but particularly through social media and texting, we’re staying in touch, which is quite lovely. I’m so happy for her and where she is in her life. It’s nice, in these new chapters of our lives, to be in contact.”
Praise For Lohan
Seeing Lohan at this stage in her life was an inspirational moment for Hendrix.
“I just love it.,” she adds. “There’s a lot of people who live a lot of lives. Life lifes, you know what I mean? There are few people who live their life in such a public way that she was thrusted into. We go to see things we just don’t normally see about people. To see her now after so much that she’s gone through. She’s just in a really great place. She looks great, she’s so happy, and I’m happy and thrilled for her.”
