WATCH: Disney Releases New Trailer For ‘Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical’
On Friday, June 20, fans from around the world will be able to watch the stage production of the beloved movie Frozen when Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical debuts on Disney+.
For those who don’t know, the Broadway production of Frozen ran for 825 performances at the St. James Theatre before closing on March 11, 2020. Subsequently, the West End production opened at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in August 2021 to rave reviews.
“When Queen Elsa’s hidden powers plunge Arendelle into an eternal winter, her sister Anna sets out to find her and save the kingdom. As the storm rages on, both sisters must learn only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart. This is the story you know and love as you’ve never seen it before,” the show’s synopsis reads.
A Fresh Twist on the Beloved Story
Directed by Michael Grandage, the stage adaptation of the hit 2013 film features the characters and music that fans have come to love. In addition to hits such as “For the First Time in Forever,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Let it Go,” the Frozen stage show features 12 new songs written especially for the musical.
