New Pre-Recorded Safety Spiel Debuts on Disney World Trams
If you are a frequent visitor to Walt Disney World, you have undoubtedly taken a ride in a tram.
For over 50 years, Walt Disney World trams have been transporting guests from the parking lot to the theme parks. Over that time, they have become iconic vehicles, even appearing in merchandise occasionally.
Like the monorail, the trams have become synonymous with the resort.
While the basic purpose of the Walt Disney World trams has remained unchanged since The Most Magical Place on Earth opened in 1971, a few aesthetic alterations have occurred.

Now, we can add another change to the list.
The Disney World Trams Now Feature a Pre-Recorded Safety Spiel
Beginning this week, the Walt Disney World trams debuted a new pre-recorded safety spiel, informing guests of the vehicles’ rules and regulations.
Previously, the safety instructions were relayed by the Cast Member driver.

However, it should be noted that the trams used a pre-recorded spiel for many years. After tasking Cast Members with relaying the information, the trams have now reverted.
Why the Change?
With the new automated safety message in place, Cast Members should have more time and find it easier to assist guests.
You can hear the new safety spiel in the video below!
