Disney Cruise Line Is Coming to Galveston Full-Time in 2027
As Disney Cruise Line continues through this era of unprecedented growth, the company will soon expand its offerings out of Galveston.
For those who don’t know, Disney Cruise Line has operated out of Galveston since 2012, with the Disney Magic sailing from November through February.
These sailings include Marvel Day at Sea and traditionally travel to Cozumel, Mexico, George Town, Grand Cayman, and Progreso, Mexico.

However, according to a new report from the Houston Chronicle, those offerings will soon expand.
Disney Is Coming to Galveston Full-Time
At a joint meeting of the Galveston City Council and the Wharves Board last week, Port of Galveston director and CEO Rodger Rees announced that Disney would soon be coming to Galveston full-time.

“The cruise business, as I mentioned, they’re expanding exponentially down here in (what) we call the Caribbean, the Western Caribbean,” Rees said.
“They’re putting a lot of money into that. Because of that, Disney is expanding to full-time here in Galveston starting in ’27.”
A New Ship Is Coming to Texas
Interestingly, when asked if the Disney Magic would expand its sailings, Reese stated that he believed Disney would bring a larger ship to Galveston.

That would seem to indicate that the Dream, Fantasy, Wish, or Treasure will be heading to Texas.
The other possibility, however, is that the previously announced Wish Class ship set to debut in 2027 will call Galveston home.

For now, we will have to wait and see.
I hope it’s either the Disney Fantasy or Disney Dream
