The Planets Have Returned to Magic Kingdom’s Astro Orbiter
While much attention has been paid to the upcoming demolition of Magic Kingdom’s Rivers of America, the park has quietly undergone several refurbishments this year.
Over the past several months, we have seen Big Thunder Mountain Railroad close for a year-long refurbishment, the Emporium undergo renovations, and work continue on The Beak and Barrel.
In Tomorrowland, Astro Orbiter has also been closed for refurbishment since early this year. Thankfully, it looks like we won’t have to wait long to see the attraction back in action!
Disney Has Been Reassembling the Astro Orbiter
The last time we checked in on the Astro Orbiter refurbishment, Disney was reassembling the attraction. While the ride’s central structure was back together, the planets were still missing.
Now, we are back with another update!
The Planets Have Returned
When visiting Tomorrowland this morning, we were thrilled to see that the Astro Orbiter planets have returned!
As you can see, the spheres look better than ever!
Here is another look at the planets.
The central spire is also back in all its glory. The attraction looks great!
While progress has undoubtedly been made in reassembling Astro Obiter, some planets are still missing.
When Will Astro Orbiter Reopen?
At this time, Disney has not announced a reopening date for Astro Orbiter.
However, based on what we can tell, the attraction will soon be taking guests for a spin again!
