FIRST LISTEN: The Disney Starlight Soundtrack Features an New Original Theme
In case you haven’t heard, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will officially debut at Magic Kingdom on July 20.
When the new parade arrives, it will mark the first time since 2016 that Magic Kingdom has had a nightly procession.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Disney has shared more information about Disney Starlight throughout the evening. Earlier today, we passed along a first look at the new Starlight merchandise.

We also shared the new costumes Mickey and his friends will debut when the parade arrives later this year.
Now, however, I want to turn your attention to the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away soundtrack, which will feature a new original theme.
The ‘Disney Starlight’ Soundtrack Feature Nods to the Past While Looking Ahead
As part of a preview of the upcoming nighttime processional tonight, we were able to hear a clip from the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away soundtrack.
“The music is pretty much everything,” show director Tara Anderson explained.
“It’s going to inspire our choreographer, it is going to inspire all of our technical people. It’s where we start. You gotta have great music to have a great experience.”
Hear the New Theme
As Anderson and Senior Music Producer Roger Butterley explained, the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away soundtrack draws inspiration from the Main Street Electrical Parade.

The soundtrack also features songs from new and old films. A new theme created especially for Disney Starlight connects the pieces of music.
