It’s the Perfect Time to Use Orlando Travel Agents for Your Disney or Universal Trip
April showers have finally brought their beautiful May flowers, and the weather has heated up as well.
All the tell-tale signs of summer are dancing around the fringes of Memorial Day Week, teasing us with the promise of thrilling vacation fun.

Memorial Day Decor Arrives at Magic Kingdom
Now that the season has nearly arrived, it’s time to start planning a trip, and you know where you should go.
Here’s why this summer is the perfect time to use Orlando travel agents to book your next Disney & Universal vacation.
Disney Is Debuting New Attractions

Disney
Walt Disney World has recently introduced E-ticket attractions like Tron Lightcycle / Run, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Disney never stops growing, though. Walt Disney left his successors specific instructions about the theme parks bearing his name.

As long as there is imagination left in the world, Disney will keep getting better, and that’s especially true this summer.
Walt Disney World will unveil three new attractions, all of which justify a trip. Make sure to use Orlando travel agents like MickeyTravels. Their service is always 100% free!
Ariel will make her triumphant return to Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in a new show, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
On Sunset Boulevard at the same park, another show will debut, and it’s the one receiving all the hype.

You’ll understand why when you hear the name. It’s Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.
Yes, after all these years of Disney fans clamoring for it, the villains finally get to tell their side of the story!

Test Track
As if those two attractions aren’t enough, Disney will also reveal Test Track 3.0, the modernized version of EPCOT’s most iconic thrill ride.
It’s Your Last Chance for Some Classics
As the song goes, every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. And that’s the case at Walt Disney World as well.
For the Disney Villains show to open, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy had to close.
Similarly, some attractions are available right now, but they won’t be for much longer.
In fact, you must visit by June 7th to experience Muppet*Vision one more time.

Disney
The timeless classic attraction will close to make room for the upcoming Monstropolis themed land based on Monsters, Inc.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, DinoLand USA will shut down. Imagineers will repurpose this space into the Tropical Americas.

That new area will highlight Encanto and Indiana Jones. So, while you probably cannot wait to visit Casita Madrigal for the first time, it comes at a price.
DINOSAUR, The Boneyard, and other classic elements of this area won’t last much longer. You must experience them while you still can!

The urgency is even greater at Magic Kingdom, which will soon change dramatically.
Disney will landlock the current Rivers of America, converting the area to dry land. At that point, the Liberty Square Riverboat will stop sailing.

Tom Sawyer Island will close permanently. So, this summer represents possibly your last chance to experience these classic attractions.
The Water Parks Are Open…and “Free”
For the first time since 2019, both Walt Disney World water parks will operate at the same time.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach have alternated. One would open while the other would undergo maintenance.
For various reasons, Disney had no reason to open both from 2020-2024. That didn’t stop fans from begging and pleading, though.
This summer, Disney will grant our wish by keeping both open…and that’s not even the best part!

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
When you stay at an official Disney resort, you gain a fabulous new amenity.
On the first day of your hotel stay, you can visit a Disney water park for free!

Blizzard Beach 30th Anniversary Celebration
Please understand that this option is only available on day one. During the rest of your visit, you’ll pay regular admission.
Still, you can save your family some money and have plenty of fun by skipping the theme parks in favor of the water park on your first day.
Cool Kid Summer Is Here
Disney knows that parents count the days until summer just as much as their kids do.
All those after-school practices, PTA meetings, and fundraisers weary the souls of even the most selfless parents.

Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks crowds
So, when summer vacation starts, Disney wants people of all ages to enjoy a magical time at the parks.
That’s why Walt Disney World has introduced new festivities for 2025. Have you heard about Cool Kid Summer yet?
The various Disney parks will host unique, limited-time activities such as character greetings, dance parties, and even crafting projects!
So, your kids can meet popular characters like Stitch, Phineas & Ferb, and Disney Junior stars this summer.

Should you want to enjoy some me time, the crafting areas will distract your kids for a bit. And who doesn’t love dancing to a live DJ?
The Cool Kid Summer is one of Disney’s best ideas in ages, and I think I speak for all of us when I say it should become an annual event.
Epic Universe Has Opened

Westgate
Of course, there are plenty of other reasons to explore Orlando. Sure, we all love the Disney Bubble, but exploring the city can be fun, too!
In the summer of 2025, you’ll have more reason than ever to stretch your boundaries a bit by exploring Orlando. Make sure to use Orlando travel agents though!

Universal
Specifically, you may want to try the competition for a change, as Universal Orlando Resort will finally open its long-promised theme park.
First confirmed in 2019, this theme park has been in progress for what feels like forever now.

Disney vs Epic Universe
However, Epic Universe definitely sounds like it’s well worth the wait, offering the most Disney-like experience ever at a Universal Studios theme park.
You’ll find themed lands based on Nintendo video games, How to Train Your Dragon, Classic Universal Monsters, and Harry Potter.

The early buzz suggests that the Harry Potter attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, is the best thing Universal has ever done.
Then again, several other attractions, such as Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Stardust Racers, are in the conversation as well.

This theme park is the first major one in the area in more than 20 years, and it’s definitely an excellent reason to visit Orlando this summer.
You’ll be among the first guests to walk through the Portals and examine places like Berk, Darkmoor Village, and Donkey Kong Country.
New Rides at Other Parks

Brightline
If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, you can string together visits to several theme parks in the area.
The Brightline high-speed rail system connects several major metropolitan areas in Florida.

Brightline
You can take the Brightline to places like Tampa, home to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
This park will debut its new children’s play area, Wild Oasis, on May 30th.

Miamiandbeaches.com
Busch Gardens has spent $40 million improving the theme park, and it’s definitely worth another look, especially if you haven’t visited lately.
Thanks to the Brightline railway, a trip from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Tampa only takes about 75 minutes. So, it’s easy to get there.

MCO
Speaking of MCO, the opening of the Terminal C expansion has greatly enhanced all phases of the airline experience.
If you’re planning to fly into town, I’d suggest picking an airline that’s likely to use Terminal C. It’s the most technologically advanced terminal in the south.

SeaWorld Orlando
Finally, at SeaWorld Orlando, Expedition Odyssey just opened at the start of May, barely a year after Penguin Trek.
Fans of Soarin’ will feel right at home at Expedition Odyssey, as this video shows:
And parts of Penguin Trek will definitely remind you of Expedition Everest.
So, this park’s two new rides should appeal to Disney fans, even if they are rather blatant knockoffs.
Amazing Disney Discounts with Orlando Travel Agents

Photo: Washington Post
The final reason why this is the perfect time to visit Orlando is the price.
For whatever reason, Disney has offered more discounts for this summer than it has at any point since 2019.

You can find savings on children’s tickets, standard admission, and much more.
Honestly, I’m not the expert on this stuff. So, if you’d like to know more about the available discounts, you should speak to a MickeyTravels agent.
