Gear up for a busy weekend at the Disneyland Resort.

Disney
Thanks to the 70th anniversary celebration and the 3-day Memorial Day weekend, the resort will be full of guests and special offerings. And we’re here today, bringing you all of the celebratory offerings guests can find around the parks.
Speaking of, we’ve already spotted our favorite Memorial Day honor in the resort. Let’s check it out.
Fallen Soldier Tables
In honor of Memorial Day, various dining locations around the resort–including resort hotels–have set up a Fallen Soldier Table.

Each table provides information about these displays, which honor our fallen American military members. Here’s what each item of the table represents:
- The table is set for one to represent the frailty of one isolated prisoner and their loved ones’ everlasting concern.
- The white tablecloth represents the pure intentions of the service member to protect their country.
- The flags represent each branch of the Armed Forces.
- The single red rose represents the blood shed to protect our freedom. This also reminds us of the loved ones of these fallen soldiers.
- The red ribbon represents their love for our country.
- The slices of lemon on the bread plate represent the bitter fate of these fallen soldiers.
- The salt sprinkled on the bread plate represents the tears from fallen soldiers’ loved ones.
- The inverted glass and empty chair represent that missing and fallen soldiers cannot partake in the meal.
- The lit candle represents the hope that is in our hearts, that may illuminate their way back home.

You can find them throughout the resort this weekend.

In true Disney fashion–and to lighten the heavy content–some of these tables include a hidden Mickey with the lemon slices.

This is truly one of our favorite ways that Disney honors Memorial Day and our fallen soldiers. If you’re at the resort this weekend, we highly encourage you to view one of these tables for yourself!
