Orlando International Airport Prepares for Nearly 1 Million Travelers This Holiday Weekend

It is Memorial Day weekend, and that means vacation. For many, school is out, and summer vacation has begun. Many of these travelers will be passing through MCO.
Major Travel Weekend
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is bracing for a major travel rush this Memorial Day weekend.
Nearly 1 million passengers are expected to pass through from Thursday, May 22, to Tuesday, May 27.

Airport officials shared this week that this is an increase in passengers compared to 2024, showing the continuous upward trend in domestic and international travel.
What day is expected to be the busiest? Friday, with an estimated 87,498 departures—up from 82,402 on the same day last year.

Saturday: 83,675 departures, 84,564 arrivals

Sunday: 82,266 departures, 81,240 arrivals

Monday: 87,054 departures, 86,878 arrivals
