Mino the Manatee Has Left The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion in EPCOT
Earlier this year, a major change occurred at The Seas With Nemo & Friends when the pavilion’s longtime manatee residents, Lil Joe and Inigo, were relocated to The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park.
Initially, there was speculation that Disney would close the manatee exhibit altogether.
Eventually, however, it was revealed that Disney is transitioning The Seas from a long-term permanent manatee care residency to a short-term critical care facility in collaboration with the Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.

Going forward, The Seas will be one of the several nationwide facilities focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing manatees into the wild.
Mino Has Been Relocated
As part of the new manatee program, Mino, who arrived at EPCOT earlier this year, has been relocated to St. Augustine.
With the manatee gone, The Seas is now home to only Mermaid and Cider.

Cider and Mermaid are the only manatees left at The Seas.
Both manatees were active this morning, happily eating their lettuce.
When it is determined that the manatees are ready to move to a long-term facility or be re-released into the wild, Disney will relocate them.
Here is another look at the dynamic duo.
