Disney Places 45 Venezuelan Employees on Unpaid Leave Following Supreme Court Ruling
Following the Supreme Court’s decision to lift an injunction blocking President Donald Trump’s decision to revoke the Temporary Protected Status of hundreds of thousands of migrants living in the United States, The Walt Disney Company has placed numerous Venezuelan Cast Members on unpaid leave.
As reported by Bloomberg, Disney notified affected employees that they were being placed on unpaid leave effective immediately yesterday. The employees now have 30 days to provide the company with new work authorization, or they will be terminated.

Following a Supreme Court ruling, The Walt Disney Company has placed 45 Venezuelan Cast Members on leave.
According to the Bloomberg report, at least one Cast Member was turned away when attempting to enter the premises.

The latest move by Disney highlights the ramifications of the shifting political landscape.

In a statement to FOX Business, the company said that 45 Cast Members were placed on leave.
“As we sort out the complexities of this situation, we have placed affected employees on leave with benefits to ensure they are not in violation of the law,” a Disney spokesman told the outlet.
