WATCH: Nick and Judy Are on the Run in the First ‘Zootopia 2’ Trailer
Fans will have the opportunity to catch up with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps this November, when Zootopia 2 finally hits theaters.
Originally announced at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the highly anticipated sequel will find Nick and Judy on the “twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” the synopsis explains.
What We Know About the Film
While much of the Zootopia 2 plot has been kept under wraps, Disney has slowly revealed some details. In addition to a host of familiar Zootopia faces, the upcoming sequel will introduce Gary the Snake (Ke Huy Quan) to the franchise.

Additionally, at CinemaCon, audiences were treated to early glimpses of Zootopia 2. One preview showed Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps attending a partner’s therapy session. In another scene, the duo visited a marsh spa resort.

Now, the film’s first trailer has finally arrived.
A Deeper Dive Into Zootopia
In the new clip, which is set to a catchy beat, Nick and Judy do their best to keep Gary the Snake away from multiple pursuers throughout Zootopia. Based on the quick scenes, the film will explore parts of Zootopia that were not seen in the original Zootopia.

“We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia, and take audiences on a hilarious, wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before,” explained director Jared Bush.
“Whether it’s the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes, or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends and discover even more about the world, themselves, and a brand-new snake in town.”

At the end of the clip, the trio comes face to face with a mysterious hooded figure.
