Lewiston, Idaho Will Commemorate Walt and Lillian Disney’s 100th Anniversary This July
Lewiston, Idaho, will hold a two-day community celebration this July to commemorate Walt and Lillian Disney’s 100th wedding anniversary.
For those who may not know, Lillian was born and raised in the Lapwai and Lewiston areas, and the couple was married in Lewiston.
The celebration, titled A Century of Love, will be hosted by the Lewis-Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce from July 11 to July 12. The goal of the festivities is to celebrate Lillian’s local roots and commemorate Disney’s enduring legacy.

Schedule of Events
Here is the schedule of events for A Century of Love, as relayed by DailyFly.
Friday, July 11 – “Dapper Days” (5 PM – 11 PM)
Events at Brackenbury Square and Pioneer Park will include:
- Food, drinks, and live music downtown (5–7 PM)
- A Best Dressed “Dapper Days” costume contest (7 PM)
- Disney-themed live performances at Sound Downtown (7:30 PM)
- A free outdoor screening of Moana 2 at dusk in Pioneer Park
Saturday, July 12 – “Century of Love: Disney Anniversary Celebration” (10 AM – 12 PM)
Festivities in downtown Lewiston and the library area will feature:
- A Disney Children’s Parade on Main Street (10 AM)
- A mayoral proclamation, performance from Frozen, Disney costume contest, and cake (10:30 AM)
- Family-friendly activities including face painting, scavenger hunts, character photo opportunities, and giveaways
The Festivities Are Free!
A Century of Love will also include contests where visitors can win fabulous prizes. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in activities celebrating Disney’s legacy and Lillian Disney’s local heritage. Finally, the entire event is free!
