MickeyBlog News for May 19th, 2025
This week, Disney announced details for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and Disneyland 70.
Yeah, it was one of those kinds of weeks. You really need to read MickeyBlog News to learn anything you may have missed. So, let’s get started!
I’m Dancing and Singing Already
It’s baaaaack! Yes, we’re more than halfway to Halloween, and Disney finally noticed.
The company revealed details for the 2025 version of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP), and it’s a scramble drill.
I’m going to lead with the cautionary part of this story. If you plan to go, you should stop what you’re doing and buy tickets!!!
I’m not joking. I’ll spend parts of MickeyBlog News this summer recounting all the dates that have already sold out.

Eventually, every single date will be booked, and it’ll happen sooner than you think.
I was so concerned about losing my date that I stopped what I was doing on Thursday and bought tickets for Halloween Night.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Speaking of which, tickets are already on sale for this year’s parties. I’m not entirely clear on why Disney did it this way, but it’s happening.
Disney confirmed the event on Monday and immediately started selling tickets on Thursday.

That’s why it’s imperative that you act quickly. The most popular nights – especially October 31st — will sell out quickly.
But I should mention that there’s a catch. The only people who can currently buy tickets are those with official Disney resort reservations.
On May 22nd, this Thursday, the booking window opens for everyone else. So, you can still get a jump on the competition.
Simply speak with a MickeyTravels agent to reserve your hotel room, and you can immediately snag tickets to MNSSHP.
We already know plenty of details about the 2025 version of the Halloween event, and it’s sounding like the best one ever.
More about the Party
As usual, Disney will host its signature events like the Boo to You Parade and exclusive character greetings.
For 2025, there are two character greetings of note. Jack Skellington will have a new look, which he deserves as one of the stars of the show.

Meanwhile, in news sure to delight you, Mickey & Minnie Mouse will jointly greet party guests! The line for that one may go out to the parking lot.
Disney has already announced this year’s attraction overlays, and it’s the usual list of suspects. Here’s a list of the operating attractions during the event.

We also know some of the details about various snacks and dining options during the party.
Also, you’ll want to know the dates and pricing for this year’s event. Here’s when you can attend the Halloween party in 2025:
- Aug. 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
- Sept. 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
- Oct. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

Gaston – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
As for the prices, they range from $119 to $229 per person plus tax. Our Halloween tickets cost $229, as it’s always the most expensive date.
As a pro tip, we use the Disney Rewards Visa and had a $70 credit that saved us some cash.
You can also find deals on Disney gift cards occasionally, usually at Target. But you’ll have to act fast.
Historically, the first few dates and the ones during Halloween Week go the fastest.

Return of Food & Wine

2024 Food & Wine Festival
Disney was running late with another huge announcement, but they took care of it only an hour after MNSSHP.
Yes, on the same morning, park officials revealed the dates and some amenities for the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Fruited Sour Sparkling Wine Cocktail
This year’s event begins on August 28th and runs through November 22nd.
So, the delayed start to the 2024 version of Food & Wine appears to be the new normal rather than a one-off.

2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
Also, based on the end date, we should have only a few days between Food & Wine and the start of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays 2025.
You should plan future Walt Disney World vacations accordingly if you’re like me and book 11 months early.

With regards to this year’s event, MickeyBlog’s Madison Owens published a list of everything we know thus far.
Notably, the Eat to the Beat concert series will return, as will the accompanying dining packages.
Those have become more essential than ever due to the surging demand for Eat to the Beat shows.
I’m also happy to report that Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt will return, giving you plenty more chances to find those Remy statues.
Most importantly, the Global Marketplaces will anchor the event, with Disney promising more than 35 (!) of them this year. It’s gonna be a great time.
As a reminder, when you visit Walt Disney World this fall, you can experience both events: Food & Wine and the Halloween party.

So, you really should do that. I know I am.

Disneyland 70th Celebration Signs
Okay, I’m running very long. For this reason, I’ll save much of the Disneyland 70 discussion until next week.
Memorial Day Week is typically slow for Disney news anyway, and I’ll probably make the entire MickeyBlog News about this event.

However, if you haven’t been paying attention, MickeyBlog attended early sneaks of the event and has been all over this story.
We’ve covered everything from a talking popcorn bucket to the customizable Bubble Wands to the new secret key.

Tapestry of Happiness
We’ve shown you characters, new and updated shows, and we even brought you along for a sneak preview of Disneyland 70.
Folks, MickeyBlog’s park reporters are absolutely crushing it right now. You owe it to yourself to read along and follow their adventures.

You can book on June 16th, as long as you have reservations at an official Disney World hotel. Oh, and you can book during MNSSHP, too.

Phineas & Ferb Meet-and-Greet at H20 Glow Nights at Disney’s
On the character front, you can meet Phineas & Ferb at EPCOT, Perry the Platypus at Disney California Adventure, and Elena of Avalor at Magic Kingdom.
Everyone’s buddy, Romeo McGrowl is sporting a new look, too. PS: If you want meet the Disney Junior crew, they’ve moved to a new spot.
