Disney World Custodial Cast Members Debut Updated Costumes
Keep your eyes open on your next visit to Walt Disney World. You may notice a small change that has a big impact when visiting the theme parks.
Walt Disney World Resort is home to the world’s largest working wardrobe, and the talented Costuming team at Disney Live Entertainment just unveiled a stylish new update.
Check out the refreshed and updated custodial cast member costumes.
A New Look
The new custodial look combines function and fashion, designed with heritage and innovation in mind. Most importantly, the latest designs were created by incorporating cast member feedback.

“Cast feedback was so important to us when designing these new operational costumes because our cast are everything,” said Nicole, Costume Designer at Disney Live Entertainment. “They create Disney magic each day…and we want to make sure they feel comfortable and confident while making magic.”
The updated uniforms feature breathable, moisture-wicking fabric, sun protection, vibrant color accents, extra pockets, and adjustable pants.
And of course, the beloved sweeping Mickey Mouse logo!
“We want this new costume to be equally iconic and special in its own way,” shared Danielle, Costume Development Manager. Her team also introduced interchangeable, customizable garments—including a new safety hat from a women-owned business that fits over glasses and adjusts to different hairstyles.

“I’m excited about taking these costumes into the future by utilizing updated fabric technology and materials that have a little extra pixie dust built into them,” Danielle said.
Many of the cast members’ costumes are being updated, and this is just one of many changes you can see when visiting the park. Stay tuned— more costume updates are coming soon.
