We’ve been celebrating the anniversary event by digging into the celebratory treats, taking in the attraction updates, sipping bubbles, and window shopping. But those aren’t the only ways to celebrate the resort’s seven decades of magic-making!

Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet
Over at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, diners can now experience a campfire-themed dinner buffet! That’s right, Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet debuted on May 16th–along with the 70th Celebration–filling the restaurant with barbecue bites and a fun crew of explorers to meet.

Of course, we had to check out the new dinner buffet for ourselves, and we took you with us! The dinner buffet is served from 4PM to 9PM and features delicious eats, including Fried Chicken…

It wouldn’t be a character buffet without characters, and this dinner experience had an exciting crew!

Just like the location’s other buffets, the characters would strut around the entire restaurant pretty frequently.
And although they ran out of buttons, a host went into the back, made magic, and returned with one!

Overall, this is one of our favorite character dining experiences at the resort! The characters come around multiple times and do their best to provide incredible interactions. The customer service is impeccable, too, as shown in the hard work that went into finding us an extra button.
So if you’re looking for a fun dinner option, this is an amazing choice. The experience will cost you $62 per adult (10 years and older) and $36 per child (3 to 9 years old).
