The attraction, which was supposed to welcome back guests on April 25th–later postponed to May 9th…and then May 13th–has finally reopened to riders! The ride’s refurbishment included the exciting addition of two characters from Coco–Miguel and his alebrije, Dante!

A marigold bridge also debuted with the characters!

They weren’t the only new additions, however. Behind Mulan in the Asia section…

We’re so excited that the attraction has finally reopened to guests! The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration wouldn’t feel right without a ride around the (small) “world.”
“it’s a small world” Third Verse Debut
That’s not the only update the attraction will receive this year! On July 17th, Disneyland’s 70th birthday, the ride will debut the third and final verse of “it’s a small world.” The third verse was Richard M. Sherman’s last contribution to Disney. Curious about the update to the song? Disney shared “The Last Verse” on YouTube, which shows the new verse in this beautiful tribute to the Sherman brothers. Watch it here:
So take a ride on “it’s a small world” to catch the new additions, and be sure to ride it on–or after–July 17th to check out the song update! And we’ll keep bringing you the latest in all things Disney , so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
