With all the festivities lasting until summer 2026, there is a TON to see and do around Disneyland Resort now — and we’re here to walk you through it all because MickeyTravels was invited for a special preview!

New Decor
Colorful 70th anniversary decor can be found throughout Disneyland Resort, including both parks, Downtown Disney, and Disneyland hotels.

A 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle is located in the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

In Disneyland Park, guests are now greeted by a floral Mickey and a large “Celebrate Happy” 70th medallion.

Heading into Disneyland Park, Main Street, U.S.A. is sporting colorful banners and bunting.

A special installation of Mickey and Minnie is located in Town Square.

Sleeping Beauty Castle is adorned with a 70th medallion and pink, blue, and gold bunting.

Over at Disney California Adventure, you can find more banners and bunting lining the streets.

Carthay Circle Restaurant is also decorated in 70th colors!

At night, the restaurant exterior comes to life with special lighting and projection effects, all set to the original song, “Celebrate Happy.” Carthay Circle and Buena Vista Street will also feature lights, colors, and projections.

…and the store windows are adorned with special displays.

We were fortunate to get a few merchandise previews too, including the Castle Collection…

We also checked out the new talking Mickey popcorn bucket!
You will be able to find it at several different locations, with varying options to choose popcorn, fries, or cookies. It will retail for $55 at most locations, although the price will depend on the snack.

“it’s a small world” Update
Disneyland’s version of “it’s a small world” has received a couple of updates for the 70th anniversary, starting with the addition of Miguel and Dante from Coco! You can now find them in the Mexico vignette.

And over in China, with Mulan and Mushu, Cri-Kee has been added in a tiny cage.

World of Color Happiness!
World of Color Happiness! is Disney California Adventure’s new nighttime show! Taking place on Paradise Bay, the show is hosted by Joy and the other emotions from Inside Out and Inside Out 2. Along with all the signature World of Color special effects, the show also includes characters from Turning Red, The Incredibles, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, Encanto, and more.
It also features a message from the Muppets!
