Disney Reveals How Much the New Streaming ESPN App Will Cost
Later this fall, a new chapter in ESPN history will unfold before our eyes when the network’s direct-to-consumer app finally arrives.
The new streaming service will give fans complete access to ESPN’s network of television stations, all of its live games, and the network’s complete cache of studio shows, documentaries, and ESPN+ content.
More than just bringing all of ESPN’s content under one umbrella, the new streaming service will also integrate ESPN Bet and ESPN Fantasy Sports, and, eventually, user-created content. It will also use AI to tailor content to customers’ interests.

Earlier this week, The Worldwide Leader in Sports revealed that their direct-to-consumer product, which was internally called Flagship, will simply be named ESPN. Now, we know how much the service will cost.
Customers Can Choose Between Two Different Subscriptions
Today, ESPN announced that consumers will have two options when signing up for their streaming service. For $29.99 a month, fans can get the unlimited package.

This package will include the entire ESPN+ library, access to all of ESPN’s linear networks, and the complete library of their studio shows.
The select plan will cost $11.99 and essentially replace ESPN+. This package will not give customers access to the ESPN linear networks but will provide access to their library of studio shows and more than 32,000 live sports events annually.
“We are providing everything ESPN has to offer directly to fans and all in one place,” ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro said.

“As we thought about the name, we kept returning to the fact that, across every generation, ESPN is the most trusted, loved and recognized name in sports, and that we should keep it simple and double down on the power of ESPN. Our straightforward approach to name and pricing will help fans cut through the clutter, and provide them compelling options to access all our content within the enhanced ESPN App. It will be the ultimate sports destination for personalized experiences and features, and, on top of that, fans will be able to choose to bundle ESPN with the industry-leading Disney+ and Hulu streaming services.”
The New ESPN App Will Be Integrated Into the Disney Bundles
Finally, consumers will have the ability to bundle their ESPN subscription with Disney+ and Hulu.

Subscribers can get Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select for $16.99 per month. This new bundle will essentially replace the current Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle.
Customers who have the latter bundle will automatically be enrolled in the new version.

Additionally, a new Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN unlimited bundle will be available for $35.99 per month.
However, as a launch special, subscribers can get this package for $29.99 for the first 12 months.
More Details Will Be Forthcoming
Now that we know how Disney will roll out their new ESPN streaming app, the question becomes, when will the service launch?

At this time, Disney is simply saying that the streamer will debut this fall. A specific launch date, however, will be announced later this summer.
