The Reopening of Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” Has Been Pushed Back AGAIN
You know what they say–it’s a world of laughter, a world of tears.

“it’s a small world” – Disneyland
The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration kicks off next week, honoring seven decades of magic with anniversary-inspired attraction updates, entertainment, eats and drinks, and more. But it looks like one of the park’s classic attractions is struggling to reopen in time for the celebration.
“it’s a small world” Reopening Update – Disneyland Park
Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” is under refurbishment and continues to have its reopening date pushed back. Originally, the attraction was scheduled to reopen on April 25th, and later pushed back to May 9th. However, the attraction’s reopening has been postponed again to May 13th.

The attraction’s refurbishment includes the addition of Miguel and his alebrije, Dante! The two Coco characters, along with a marigold bridge, will debut in the attraction when it reopens….eventually.

The attraction recently removed its refurbishment-related walls, which is a good sign that “it’s a small world” is indeed preparing for guests.

We’re hoping this is the last update for the attraction, as it has little time left to reopen before the 70th Celebration begins!
“it’s a small world” Third Verse Debut
The attraction will receive yet another update in just a few months. That update will debut on July 17th–Disneyland’s actual 70th birthday–and will add the third and final verse of “it’s a small world” to the attraction!

The third verse was Richard M. Sherman (of the Sherman brothers) last contribution to Disney. Curious about the update to the song? Disney posted “The Last Verse” on YouTube, which shows the new verse in this beautiful tribute to the Sherman brothers. Watch it here:
Needless to say, the attraction is going to have a busy year and we can’t wait to experience all the updates! So, head over to the attraction on the new reopening date, May 13th, to see the Coco debuts for yourself! And if anything changes–fingers crossed it doesn’t–we’ll let you know, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
