Here’s Your First Look at Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet at the Grand Californian!

The anniversary event will celebrate seven decades of magic with new (and returning) entertainment, eats and drinks, merchandise, and experiences! One of those new experiences gives Donald the spotlight (finally) at a character dining location–let’s get a sneak peek!
Donald’s Tales of Adventure – Storytellers Cafe
Disneyland took to Instagram to give us a sneak peek of the new dinner buffet, Donald’s Tales of Adventure at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa! The new experience will debut on May 16th with the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.

The video shows Donald dressed in his exploring gear–a beanie, jacket, and backpack–walking into his very own campfire-themed dinner buffet!

Of course, while he’s an amazing character to meet (please tell Donald we said that), it wouldn’t be a true character dining experience without more characters! The video shows him accompanied by Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, and Clarabelle. Excitingly, his crew is different from the one typically found at Mickey’s Tales of Adventure–Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. (That means you get a different character experience at this buffet, despite it being at the same location…and bearing almost the same name.)

The dinner buffet is $62 per adult (ages 10 and older) and $36 per child (ages 3 to 9) and will run from 4PM to 9PM. The menu is full of delicious items, including:
- Baby back spareribs
- Slow-roasted prime rib with creamy horseradish
- Fried chicken
- Creamed corn
- A variety of vegetables and salads
- S’mores bread pudding
- Sweets and confectioneries
- An array of beverages
