A TON of Characters Are Coming to Disney World For Cool Kid Summer

In just a few weeks, things are going to heat up at Walt Disney World with the debut of Cool Kid Summer.

Throughout the next few months, Disney will debut new experiences across Disney World’s four theme parks and resorts to ensure families have the best summer vacation possible!

Over the last couple of weeks, Disney has slowly unveiled its plans for Cool Kid Summer. For example, the special event will see the debut of a new Goofy dance party at EPCOT, a Disney Jr. celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, interactive experiences at Animal Kingdom, and even some limited-time magic at Magic Kingdom!

Today, however, we were able to glimpse the new maps that will debut as part of Cool Kid Summer, and we were thrilled to see that numerous new character meet-and-greet opportunities will also debut.

Here is the latest from The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Disney Stars Descend on Hollywood Studios

While Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already a great place to meet your favorite Disney characters, this summer, even more character experiences will be available.

In addition to the park’s standard characters, who include Olaf, Mickey, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Woody, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and BB-8, a cavalcade of other stars will roam the park this summer.

In Pixar Place, for example, guests will be able to meet Edna Mode, Frozone, Mrs. Incredible, and Sulley.

Animation Courtyard, meanwhile, will welcome Mickey’s friends, including Goofy, Max, Pluto, Timon, Donald, Daisy, Chip, Dale, and Clarabelle Cow!

Magic Kingdom Characters

Moving to Magic Kingdom, guests will still be able to meet the characters that have called the park home for years.

Ariel, Belle, Tiana, and Cinderella will hold court in Fantasyland. Guests should also be able to find Tigger and Pooh near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan roaming around, and Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy in Storybook Circus.

Meanwhile, Chip ‘n’ Dale will camp out in Tomorrowland, while characters from Aladdin will meet in Adventureland.

Finally, as always, you can find Mickey on Main Street, U.S.A.

Animal Kingdom and EPCOT

While Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT do not have new character meet-and-greets debuting this summer, you can still find many Disney stars at both parks.

EPCOT, for example, is the home of Figment, Star-Lord, and Moana. Character meet-and-greets are also peppered throughout World Showcase.

Mickey and his friends, Pocahontas, Russell, and Dug, can be found at Animal Kingdom.

So, if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World this summer, have your autograph books handy and maybe bring an extra pen. There will be a ton of characters to meet!
