Alcohol & Reservations Confirmed for Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern Coming to Magic Kingdom
Many exciting things are happening at Magic Kingdom in Disney World! Construction is ongoing at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, new lands have been announced for the park, and we’re getting a new tavern later this year.

Magic Kingdom
The tavern is themed to the Pirates of the Caribbean, and we just found out even more news about the spot!
The Beak and Barrel
The Beak and Barrel is the official name of the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern coming to Magic Kingdom! The spot will open in late 2025.

While you’re at the tavern, you will be immersed in the Tortuga world through sing-alongs, storytelling, and enchanting surprises. We can’t wait!
The lore is that The Beak and Barrel was established by Captain Merry Goldwyn and is overseen by Rummy, her chatty parrot quartermaster.
We just found out the official name of the tavern, and the Disney website reveals even more information. Let’s take a look!
Alcohol Will Be Served
It is officially confirmed that alcohol WILL be served at The Beak and Barrel! Disney’s website says that the menu features “tasty options for pirates of all ages–as well as refreshing cocktails for guests ages 21 and up.”
We figured this would be the case since it is a tavern, but it’s good to know that it’s officially official!
Reservations Accepted
The website also says that advance reservations are strongly recommended and that Disney will be sharing details about making reservations later on. We DO know that each party will be limited to 45 minutes inside of the tavern.
It sounds like this will be an Oga’s Cantina situation, where you make a reservation for the tavern and are “seated” inside to enjoy your snacks and drinks for 45 minutes.

There are no locations in Magic Kingdom that allow you to take alcoholic drinks to-go, so I’m assuming this will remain the same with the tavern and you will need to finish your drinks inside. But, that could change, so we’ll keep you updated!
