WATCH: Romeo McGrowl Debuts His New Look in Frontierland
Since the Country Bear Musical Jamboree welcomed guests back into Grizzly Hall last year, the Country Bears have been the hottest thing in Frontierland.
For those who may not remember, Disney originally announced that they would be closing the original Country Bear Jamboree in 2023. Understanding that they were tinkering with a beloved attraction, Imagineers knew they had their work cut out for them.
Eventually, they developed the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. This new revue retained the original show’s beloved cast of characters, while also introducing a new selection of songs that would be more familiar to modern audiences.

As previously mentioned, while the Country Bears sing new songs these days, the characters have remained mainly unchanged, except for one.
Romeo McGrowl Was Introduced Last Year
During the transformation from the Country Bear Jamboree to the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Disney rebranded Liver Lips McGrowl as Romeo McGrowl.

“Speaking of starting a new chapter, one bear is ready to enter his next era of singing rockabilly. Of course, I’m referring to none other than the Miami Serenader himself, Romeo McGrowl.” Disney explained when the new show opened.
Long known as a lady’s man, Liver Lips endeared himself to audiences for years with his rendition of “My Woman Ain’t Pretty (But She Don’t Swear None).”

As Romeo McGrowl, the stylish bear, sings “Kiss the Girl” with Henry.
While Romeo McGrowl has been performing at the Country Bear Musical Jamboree for over a year now, the walk-around version of the character still looked like Liver Lips. Until today.

As you can see, Miami Serenader is still a lady’s man, with throngs of fans waiting to greet him outside Grizzly Hall.
So, next time you are in Magic Kingdom, keep your eyes open! You may run into Romeo!
