SNEAK PEEK: Cafe Megara Is Coming Together Aboard the Disney Destiny
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Disney Destiny later this year.
The latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Destiny is the sister ship to the Disney Treasure and Disney Wish. Inspired by classic Disney tales, the vessel pays tribute to the company’s iconic heroes and infamous villains!
The last time we checked in, we were reporting from the Disney Destiny Showcase, where we got a preview of the amazing entertainment, immersive environments, and world-class cuisine that will debut on the ship.

Cafe Megara Will Infuse the Destiny With a Dash of ‘Hercules’
Today, Disney shared that the team at the Meyer Werft Shipyard has made great progress, and interior spaces continue to come to life every day.

For example, Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a look at Cafe Megara, one of two new cafes that will be located just off the Destiny’s Grand Hall.
Imagineers picked each design detail in Cafe Megara to create an environment that blended Greek mythology with Disney’s versions of legendary heroes. The color palette was even inspired by Hercules characters Megara and Pegasus.

In an image shared on Instagram, Imagineers Beth Burkhardt and Rachel Willcoxon are seen reviewing textile samples inspired by Mount Olympus.
