PHOTOS: The Disneyland 70 Sleeping Beauty Structure Is Almost Complete!
With Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary set to kick off in just eleven days, we are starting to see The Happiest Place on Earth come alive with new magic.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Disney is pulling out all the stops for Disneyland’s big anniversary. Over the next few months, we will see new entertainment offerings debut, attractions updated, and the arrival of the first-ever Walt Disney audio-animatronic.

In addition to everything else going on at Disneyland, Disney is also constructing a huge Sleeping Beauty Castle centerpiece in the Esplanade (the area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure).
The last time we checked in, we could see that the structure was beginning to take shape.

Now, we are back with another update!
The Disneyland 70 Now Has a Roof!
When visiting the Esplanade recently, we were thrilled to see that the Disneyland 70 Sleeping Beauty Castle structure now has a roof!

As you can see, the castle is really starting to come together.
Here is another look at the current state of the project.

As a reminder, when the structure is complete, it will be a colorful representation of Sleeping Beauty Castle and will sit atop a Disneyland 70 stand. Here is a look at the concept art.

With just weeks to go until the Disneyland 70 celebration kicks off, progress on the structure should continue rapidly!
