Over in Hong Kong Disneyland, Duffy and Friends Play Days has been underway for a few months, giving guests can’t-miss experiences based on the adorable crew. But that’s not the only Duffy and friends event fans can attend–let’s head to Glendale to experience another!
D23 Spotlight Series: 20 Years of Duffy and Friends
On May 3rd, D23 Gold Members were invited to celebrate 20 years of Duffy and friends with an exclusive D23 Spotlight Series! The event was hosted at Disney’s Glendale Creative Campus and was sold out. (It’s not too surprising that the event was sold out—these characters have become extremely popular worldwide.)

Guests of the event received a special Duffy and Friends Postcard Set! They had adorable phrases, like “May your smiles bloom,”

There was a Walt Disney Imagineering panel, including Charlie Watanabe, Laura West, Xiao Qing Chen, and more Imagineers, who discussed the creation of the characters and their stories.

Before the presentation started, a slideshow of Duffy and friends’ presence throughout Shanghai, Tokyo, and Hong Kong was shown.

Guests also received a random character-inspired button at the event! Our button said, “Embrace Differences,” and was inspired by CookieAnn.
