Disneyland Wait Times for May 2025
This month will be even happier than usual at The Happiest Place on Earth.
Disneyland will throw a party, and everyone’s invited! May will be an epic time for fans of the world’s oldest theme park.

Before we look ahead, we should quickly glance back, though. So, let’s discuss the recent crowds. Here are Disney’s wait times for May 2025.

As I remind you each month, we obviously don’t have May’s wait times yet. The monthly column looks back at what just happened instead.
So, please don’t let the naming conventions fool you. We’re solely interested in Disneyland’s April crowds.

Historically, the month draws sizable numbers of tourists, but there’s a bit of intrigue this time.
Easter fell on a later date than usual, which may have stretched the crowds a bit more.

Then, we have a couple of other factors, as economic concerns have stressed a lot of people who really should stop refreshing their 401k pages.
Also, many tourists may have waited until May to visit Disneyland.

I shouldn’t need to tell you that the Disneyland 70 event starts on May 16th.
Park officials have promised a number of splendid amenities, many of which start in a couple of weeks.

Others like the new show, Walt Disney: A Magical Life, will arrive later this summer.
Therefore, guests had multiple reasons to wait rather than prioritize the parks in April.

Conversely, many schools celebrated Spring Break, providing parents with a chance to escape their mundane daily lives and actually have some fun.
I mean, if you could be at Disneyland right now, you’d prefer that, right? Of course. Who wouldn’t?

Disneyland Park Wait Times
So, how were the crowds at Disneyland Park? Let’s find out. Here are the park’s average wait times last month:
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 70 minutes, no change
- Space Mountain – 63 minutes, up 3
- Indiana Jones Adventure – 61 minutes, up 10
- Matterhorn Bobsleds – 50 minutes, down 2
- Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin – 49 minutes, down 1
- Haunted Mansion – 46 minutes, down 3
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 44 minutes, no change
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 41 minutes, down 4
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 40 minutes, down 2
- Peter Pan’s Flight – 40 minutes, down 2
- Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster – 36 minutes, down 2
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 35 minutes, down 2
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant – 34 minutes, down 1

Overall, Disneyland guests waited for an average of 32 minutes per attraction, which is four minutes less than last time.

Believe it or not, the two parks at Disneyland Resort don’t always align when it comes to wait times.
The sheer number of Disneyland attractions stabilizes the average wait times in a way that’s not possible at Disney California Adventure (DCA).

Objectively, the only other park in the world that demonstrates similar behavior to Disneyland Park is Magic Kingdom.
DCA works more like a combination of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The park’s E-ticket attractions are spectacular, yet its attendance is substantially lower than that of its sibling.
So, we can never draw any conclusions about its behavior from Disneyland Park. Keeping that in mind, here are DCA’s average wait times:

Overall, Disney California Adventure attractions averaged a wait of 35 minutes, which is four minutes less than last time.
So, the parks actually lined up relatively closely this time, which isn’t always the case.
