Check-in Area Moved as Grand Floridian Lobby Construction Continues in Disney World
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is undergoing some big changes right now, specifically in the lobby. It’s getting an updated look, complete with a lobby bar!

Construction started a few weeks ago, and we’ve been keeping our eyes on the progress. Now, let’s go take a look at the latest updates!
Grand Floridian Lobby Construction
Check out the construction happening in the lobby of the Grand Floridian! Here’s what it looked like a couple of weeks ago…
…and here’s what it looks like now!
The front desk is currently behind construction walls.
So, there is a temporary check-in area that’s been set up in the middle of the lobby.
Here’s another look:
You can also find bell services near here at its temporary location!
Walls are blocking off where the big birdcage used to be.
This is to make room for the new lobby bar, which will still be themed to the birdcage.
And, the tea room is behind walls as well!
Keep all of this in mind if you’re planning on staying at the Grand Floridian anytime soon.
Construction will be ongoing for the rest of the year.
Due to this, there will be no Grand Floridian Gingerbread House during the holiday season.
