The Disneyland Resort Is Celebrating Earth Month With Food Scraps and Art!
Happy Earth Month!

Disneyland Park
If you’re hoping to celebrate the special month at the Disneyland Resort, you’re in luck. Let’s check out some of the ways the resort is honoring Earth Month!
Earth Month – Disneyland Resort
Food Scraps Program
The Disneyland Resort is encouraging guests to assist them in reaching their zero waste to landfill goal by participating in their Food Scrap program! The program turns the resort’s food scraps into nutritional feed for farm animals.

To collect these scraps, some quick-service locations have designated “Food Only” cans with diamond openings. These cans collect food scraps–fruits, desserts, meats–without wrappers. The Galactic Grill’s Food Scrap Can has a droid holding its sign…

The Galactic Grill has screens providing instructions for dumping your food scraps, in case you need some assistance! (Cast Members are also able to assist.)

The blue recycling bins with the Saturn openings are for plastic, paper, or glass waste, while the gray landfill bins with the rectangular openings are for non-food items. You can find these bins throughout the resort.

Waste Bins – Disneyland Resort
Dumping waste in the appropriate bin is such an easy way to help celebrate Earth Month, as it limits landfill waste!

Zero Waste Art Challenge
Now, we’re heading over to the Silly Symphony Swings area to judge some art, which was crafted from recycled and reused materials! The Zero Waste Art Challenge will last through April 30th, giving us the chance to vote for up to 3 of the projects via the Disneyland app.
