WATCH: The First ‘Predator: Badlands’ Trailer Teases a Predator Unlike Any Other

After Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, it was unclear how invested the studio would be in the franchises that comprised the Fox library.

While it was immediately clear that Disney would utilize the X-Men, The Simpsons, and select other brands, their interest in the rest of the properties was unknown.

However, as we have seen over the last 18 months, Disney has chosen to continue to mine the 20th Century Fox cache, breathing new life into the Alien, Planet of the Apes, and Ice Age franchises, among others.

Now, it’s Predator‘s turn.

‘Predator: Badlands’ Is Coming

Today, 20th Century Studios released the first trailer for Predators: Badlands, the newest entry in the beloved sci-fi franchise.

Hitting theaters on November 7, Badlands will transport audiences to a remote planet “where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.”

Starring Dakota Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, the film seemingly has all the ingredients necessary for another Predator classic.

For his part, 20th Century head Steve Asbell had nothing but good things to say about Disney’s involvement in the film.

“I’ve been here five years now almost, and it’s been an amazing journey with Disney in fact, because there is no sort of us and them, it’s just us.”
